Medical Assistant
We employ bilingual (English & Spanish) pro-Life Medical Assistants for part- and full-time positions in our Phoenix Clinic locations. Medical Assistants triage, assist in exams, report lab results, obtain proper specimens; run pregnancy tests; report pregnancy test results; offer peer counseling; and provide patient education. Medical Assistant will also assist Front Office staff in clinic tasks including: answering phones; greeting arriving patients; and assuring client paper work is complete.
Responsibilities: Medical Assistants need to be bilingual English/Spanish speakers with excellent communication and computer skills, be a team player who is positive and outgoing, with a professional manner, honest character and can work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, current CPR is required, certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred, and GYN experience is a plus. Life Choices will provide training on specific job functions, and phlebotomy training and certification may be available. Medical Assistant must show commitment to the sanctity of human life, and have a desire to serve women in crisis.
As the shelter in place order was established, Life Choices Women’s Clinic was ready to serve the community by implementing serious precautions in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Our staff had the choice to self-isolate by working from home or coming to the clinic to work.
After a difficult night, knowing her baby was dying inside her, she remembered the Abortion Pill Reversal pamphlet she had received on the Hope Mobile Clinic and called the APR Hotline nurse. Debby helped her get started on progesterone, and referred her back to our clinic to continue her care. The progesterone had side effects, causing her tiredness and nausea.
